When the bad guy tries to pop a cap in your dogs ass !

Dogs are seen as partners in the police force and often face a lot of danger in the line of duty so its only fitting that they get the same amount of protection as there human counter parts.

Enter the Protech Bark-9TM. Made by a company called Protech the vest is constructed of a Cordura nylon material and can take Type II and Type IIIA ballistic plates.

The vest is designed to cover the dogs heart and lungs and also comes with an ID slot to easily identify the dog as a law enforcement dog.

Some may think this is unnecessary saying it just a damn dog. However consider the time and effort put in to training a police dog and the fact the dog over time has become acclimated to its handler and environment as well as the dogs success rate in its given field be it narcotics,explosives,search etc. I have no word on cost but I am guessing it should not be as pricey as a larger vest made for humans. The one concern may be weight and how it could impede the dogs speed or performance while carrying out a particular task. For more info visit the Protech site.
