XRAIL Magazine for Remington 870 & Benelli Shotguns

RCI has come up with a really cool idea for the shotgun. An extended rotary magazine that holds up to 23 rounds.

As Quoted from the RCI sit: " An XRAIL System loads the same way you would normally load your gun. Once the main tube is full, you rotate the XRAIL System to the next auxiliary tube and load. You repeat until all tubes are full. When you shoot, the tubes will automatically rotate back to the main tube as the ammunition is unloaded. The XRAIL System is flexible enough to be “topped off” or if not needed, you do not have to fill the auxiliary tubes and just use the main tube like you would normally use your shotgun. "

The unit weighs any where from 1 - 2lbs empty. It comes in a full or compact version and drops in requiring no gun smithing. For more info visit the RCI site here. For more information or to buy cool accessories for your Remington 870 shotgun visit www.Remington870.net

Here are some videos on the XRAIL:

Carbine Conversion Unit for Glocks and 1911 Pistols

Mech-Tech manufactures a Carbine Conversion Unit (CCU), which will turn your Glock or 1911 pistol into a very accurate carbine. The CCU Kit allows your pistol to operate in the normal semi-auto mode and fires the same pistol caliber ammunition.
No gunsmithing required. The CCU comes with a standard picatinning rail on top for mounting scopes or red dot sights. On average the CCU increase the knock down power of your pistol by 25%. They are several different accessories sold by Mech Tech which you can use to customize your CCU kit. For more info visit Mech Tech here.

Glock 30 Review for Conceal Carry

I think if you are going to buy just one pistol as a conceal carry weapon. That one pistol should be the Glock 30. It's compact, accurate, has great fire power and is very reliable.

Most importantly though this is gun is a large caliber weapon that touts a proven man stopper the .45 acp round.

I also like the fact that you have several accessories your can buy for it. I got my holsters here. You can watch the two videos below to see my full review on the Glock 30 pistol.

The first video is a review of the actual pistol and the other shows the holsters I got for the Glock 30 for CCW.

Let me know what you think.

Top Shot - On History Channel

Top Shot on History Channel is reality show based on sharp shooting which premiered on Sunday June 6th 2010. The show is based off two teams the Red and Blue. Each team is trying to out do the other team to be the top shot.

I caught the first episode today and it was very nice. Any true gun fan will love this show.

This first episode had the teams (16 shooters) shooting 4 different rifles from different war eras and going through obstacle courses for the chance to win $100,000.

The Blue Team kicked ass ! The Red team failed to past the first of the four rifle stages and lost.

The challenge included two members from each team a spotter and shooter and they would alternate between roles. Mike and Andre represented the Red Team. Andre made his shots and Mike failed to do so.

Because of this the red team went on to voting elimination round where their team members had the opportunity to to vote them off or each other.

The voting system in this reality show was a little different though. There was no anonymous voting. Instead each team members (red team) name was placed on small targets and the team members had the opportunity to shoot the name of the person they wanted to vote off .

The two people with the most shots on their name targets would then face off in a shooting match and the loser would go home. In the end Mike went home.

Overall I think this a very good show and it will do wonders to make shooting sports more main stream. Each new episode airs at 10pm EST Sundays on the History Channel.

If your work nights like me and can't catch it then try Comcast OnDemand.

Here is a Video of the Preview:

Glock Training Pistol ?

Recently I picked up the Umarex SA 177 Air Pistol pictured here for training purposes. It is styled like a Glock Pistol which is good because I own a Glock and has a metal slide that cycles when you fire it. The Slide even locks on the last round.

The  Umarex SA 177 Air Pistol  holds 16 .177 BBs and fires in semi-auto. It takes your standard 12g C02 in the back strap of the pistol and it last for about 100 rounds.

I made an improvised in door target from a USPS box, Tape and some shoot n see sights and now I'm blasting BBs for fun and practice. I did a video review of the Pistol as well its listed below. Please tell me what you think:

Steve Lee - " I like Guns " Music Video

Thought you guys would like to see this really cool music video. It's by Steve Lee and the title is I love guns:

Beretta 90 Two Breaks

My Beretta 90 Two took a nose dive at the range. The Guide Rod Broke. I love my Beretta 90 Two I think it's a great weapon and I'm very accurate with it but this cheap plastic rod that comes with it sucks.

I had all intentions of going through 400 rounds of .40 S&W that day and the Beretta 90 Two just stopped cycling on me. Lucky for me it happened at the range and not in a self defense situation.

Here is My video account of what happened:

Like I said in the video I found a guy that makes custom guide rods for various hand guns. I sent mine to him on June 5th and he has a one day turn around so I should get it back this week. I report on how it works when I do.
