Taurus SMT

Taurus has come out with a new carbine the SMT available in two pistol rounds 9mm and 40 SW. The SMT is a light weight cqc weapon designed for military / special forces / swat type breach and clearing ops it seems.

The gun looks real cool in the video below and it also looks like a an MP5 was raped by an FN SCAR and the Taurus SMT is the bastard child. lol.

Ok seriously , you all know I am not a great fan of the Taurus brand of magazine fed guns but this one looks super cool. I would love to give this little puppy a test run at the range for a day or two.

The Taurus SMT has a lot of grip room too. The forend has some nice solid ridges and the magazine well has finger grooves that doubles as a vertical grip.

The Taurus SMT is also blow back operated and a has a really nice fat charging handle for racking this bad boy. With the stock folded the Taurus SMT is 18.5" in length making the hop in and out of vehicle jobs of  operators much easier and it weighs in at about 8 lbs.

There is also a more compact version dubbed the SMT "c" sporting a 16" barrel and it weighs a mere 6.3 lbs.

Below is video of the Taurus SMT being shot enjoy.
