TLR-6 for the Sig P365

This is some good news. Streamlight has made a TLR-6 for the Sig Sauer P365. This I am sure will be welcomed news for P365 owners.

The Ulra Compact pistol took the market by storm last year challenging industry leaders in the sub-compact gun category like the M&P Shield and The Glock 43, besting them with 12+1 capacity in a smaller package.

The P365 however has had its fair share of issues with reliability in the first batch release.

Sig has since claimed to resolve such issues with a new release of the pistol. However some people in the forums claim the gun still has minor issues.

Sig fans (fan boys) say otherwise and say the gun is 100% reliable. Some have gone as far to say that some bloggers / vloggers have been paid off by the competition to bad mouth the P365 (eh em Military Arms Channel 😂).

Regardless the P365 is a hot seller and the TLR-6 will only make it a more attractive buy

Heckler & Koch in hot water over exports to Mexico

German prosecutors brought charges on Tuesday against employees of weapons manufacturer Heckler & Koch, whom they accuse of illegally trafficking arms to Mexican federal states to which Berlin has prohibited gun exports.

In 2016, Heckler & Koch, one of the world’s best-known gunmakers, said it would no longer sign contracts to supply countries outside of NATO’s influence because it had become too difficult to obtain government approval for such deals.

However, the Stuttgart prosecutor’s office charged six Heckler & Koch sales employees with violating both the Foreign Trade and the War Weapons Control Acts for delivering rifles and accessories to four Mexican states to which Berlin had prohibited arms exports due to the human rights situation there.

The indictment focuses on 4,500 G36 assault rifles and smaller firearms sent in 16 batches. Prosecutors say they went to violent Mexican states covered by a German arms export ban.

The defendants' lawyers are quoted as saying the guns went legally to a well-controlled police depot.

Mexico is plagued by gang warfare.

H&K guns, made in the south-western town of Oberndorf, are used in conflicts worldwide. Besides Mexico, they have gone to troops and militias in Pakistan, Myanmar (Burma), Saudi Arabia, Iran and Turkey.

The Stuttgart case was triggered by evidence against H&K presented by peace activist Jürgen Grässlin eight years ago, German media report.

Prosecutors say the exports to Mexico in 2006-2009 violated Germany's War Weapons Control Act and Foreign Trade Act.

M&P Shield 45

Package came in the mail today for two add ons to my M&P Shield 45.

Recoil reduction rubber grip and a set of TRUGLO TFO 24/7 sights.

For me the stippling on M&P Shield 45 is too rough against my skin or soft fabric and the grip helps reduce the felt recoil you get from the .45 acp in such a small gun.

The sights are a blend of fiber optic for day time visibility and tritium for night. The rear sights are yellow which makes the green front post really stand out. Prefect for quick acquisition.

The new law will allow guns in places previously not allowed like schools,bars and airports.

Remington R51 Pistol

Remington's New R51 pistol while not the prettiest thing a around it will offer some solid competition to the likes of Ruger's LC9 and Kel Tec's PF9. Everything about this new 7 +  1 round pistol screams ergonomics and its a natural pointer. More info here.

No more shipping ammo to New York

Got an email today from one the largest ammo retailers Lucky gunner saying they will no longer ship ammo to New York. I have re posted the contents of this sad news for New York shooters below:     

Hello New York Lucky Gunners,

We are sorry to report some bad news about New York's SAFE Act and how it will impact shooters access to ammo in the state.

While bits and pieces of the law have been delayed (thanks to the government's inability to create a website) other portions of the law, like requiring face-to-face ammo transactions are still on-track to be enacted in mid-January. That means Lucky Gunner, and all other online retailers, will no longer be able to directly ship you ammunition.

We have hired outside legal counsel to help guide us toward any legal ways we can keep working with you in the future and we remain hopeful that in the coming days and weeks we'll have more information. However, until we are able to identify a solution that won't require us to risk massive monetary fines, jail-time, or inhibit our ability to serve shooters in other states, we're forced to discontinue shipping to our friends in New York. 715t rifle swat grade grip

The 715t rifle swat grade grip is a very nice forward grip system that is a major improvement over your traditional vertical fore grip and very similar to the Magpul AFG.

The 715t rifle swat grade grip is made from polymer and designed ergonomically to help the shooter with fatigue, accurate and attains a more natural shooting position when aiming and shooting the rifle.

Unlike the competition the 715t rifle swat grade grip does provide some storage space on the back strap of the grip. Perfect for storing extra batteries or small amount of first aid supplies.

What i did not like was there was no supplied allen key to mount 715t rifle swat grade grip on your picatinny rail, but it takes a standard Allen key that most shooters should have in there tool box.

Over all its a solid,ergonimic and light weight grip that is worth a look at if you are shopping around for a fore grip for 715t rifle or any other rifle with a full 1913 mil-spec rail for accepting accessories..

Legendary firearm instructor Chris Costa set for Hollywood ?

Ok, no I am just playing, but the legendary firearm instructor who shot to worldwide fame in the Magpul firearm instructor series of dvds and who went on to start his own training and consulting firm Costa Ludus has now applied his skills to a new venture Costa Media Group. The Costa Media Group will focus on creating cinematic commercials to showcase firearm related items. I just watched the first commercial and one word sums it up:dope.

Sad. RIP to Mikhail Kalashnikov, inventor of one of my favorite weapons the AK-47, dies at 94.

Taurus CTG240 CARBINE

This new carbine from Taurus is definitely a looker.  Light weight and fitted with an AR15 styled pistol grip the Taurus CTG240 CARBINE looks like its a blast to shoot. The charging handle is on the front of the carbine and is also ambidextrous. The Taurus CTG240 CARBINE utilizes a nice ghost ring sight setup and the front post also has a white dot for easy target acquisition. Other notable features are the full length top rail and mag well type forward grip.  On closer look what I don't like is the mag release on this thing.  See the pictures below and video review by Conceal Carry Show, for more info check out the Taurus CTG240 CARBINE page.
